These scholarships are designed to recognise merit, support economically weaker sections, and motivate students to achieve their full potential. The key initiatives include the SRMSCET Entry Level Scholarship, which awards financial assistance of up to INR 50,000 based on performance in the SRMS ELS Test and interviews, and the SRMSCET Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme, which provides a 65% tuition fee relaxation for meritorious students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
SRMSCET Entry Level Scholarship
To make quality technical education accessible to deserving students, the SRMS Trust introduced the Entry Level Scholarship Test (ELS) in 2021. This initiative aims to recognize talented students with strong technical aptitude and support their first-year academic journey through scholarships ranging from INR 5,000 to INR 50,000. The scholarship not only provides financial aid but also motivates students to excel academically from the beginning of their courses.
The Entry Level Scholarship applies to students enrolled in B.Tech, B.Pharm, BBA, MBA, BCA, MCA, and BHMCT programs. The selection is based on the SRMS ELS Test (and SRMS ELS (L) for lateral entries), followed by a Personal Interview (PI) or Group Discussion (GD) in applicable cases.
SRMSCET Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme
In line with its vision to make professional education inclusive, the SRMS Trust also offers a Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme for meritorious students from economically weaker sections (EWS). This scheme covers 65% of the tuition fee, while other charges such as hostel, university exam, and miscellaneous fees are borne by the student.
