The CLAT 2026 exam will be conducted in the afternoon session at all test centres. Candidates must report to the centre well in advance to complete verification and security checks. How to Choose CLAT 2026 Exam Center?

Candidates can choose up to three CLAT 2026 exam centres while filling the application form. These must be selected in the order of preference, with the top choice as Preference 1. It is important to carefully select exam centres to avoid last-minute issues.

1. Log in to the applicant account.
2. Go to the “Preferences” section.
3. Select three preferences separately – Preference 1, Preference 2, and Preference 3.

How to Edit CLAT 2026 Exam Center Preferences?

Candidates will be allowed to edit their CLAT 2026 test centre preferences once the official notification is released. However, this facility will be available only within the given time window. Any request after the deadline will not be accepted.

Steps to edit CLAT 2026 exam centres:

1. Candidates need to sign in to the CLAT 2026 account on the official website.
2. Click on the ‘Edit Application’ button.
3. Go to the ‘Preferences’ tab.
4. Review and modify the test location preferences.
5. Click the Next (>) button to move to the ‘Reservation’ tab.
6. Scroll down, consent to the declaration, and click the ‘Submit Form’ button.

Documents Required at CLAT 2026 Exam Center

Candidates must carry their CLAT Admit Card 2026 along with a valid photo ID proof to the exam centre. These documents are required for verification, and without them, entry will not be permitted. CLAT 2026 Exam Center Guidelines

The Consortium of NLUs has set strict guidelines that all candidates must follow at the CLAT exam centre. Any violation of these rules may result in disqualification. Reaching the centre early and adhering to instructions is necessary for a smooth exam experience. CLAT 2026 exam day guidelines are as given below-

• Carry CLAT 2026 Admit Card and valid photo ID proof to the exam centre.
• Do not carry restricted items like paper chits, mobile phones, or electronic gadgets.
• Reach the exam centre at least one hour before the exam starts.
• Entry will not be allowed after the reporting time.
• Do not indulge in copying, assisting others, or receiving help during the exam.
• Avoid talking inside the exam hall during the test.
• Write the roll number clearly on the rough sheet provided.
• Drop the rough sheet in the designated box before leaving the hall.
