Haryana NEET UG Counselling 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfil the following eligibility requirements to participate in Haryana NEET UG Counselling 2026:

  • Qualifying Examination: Candidates must have qualified NEET UG 2026 and secured the minimum qualifying percentile prescribed by NTA.
  • Educational Qualification: Applicants should have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects.
  • Age Limit: The candidate must have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2026. There is presently no upper age limit for NEET UG admissions.Candidates appearing in Class 12 in 2026 may also apply, provided they fulfil all eligibility conditions at the time of admission.
  • Minimum Marks: Minimum qualifying marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology are as follows:
    • General/EWS: Minimum 50% aggregate marks in PCB subjects.
    • SC/ST/OBC: Minimum 40% aggregate marks in PCB subjects.
    • PwD (General): Minimum 45% aggregate marks in PCB subjects.
    • PwD belonging to reserved categories: Minimum 40% aggregate marks in PCB subjects.
  • Domicile Criteria: For admission under the 85% State Quota seats, candidates must satisfy the Haryana domicile requirements and produce a valid residence certificate during counselling.

Non-domicile candidates are generally eligible only for private medical colleges, management quota seats, and NRI quota seats, subject to the counselling guidelines issued by DMER Haryana.

NEET UG 2026 Tie-Breaking Rules

In case two or more candidates secure the same marks in NEET UG 2026, the National Testing Agency (NTA) follows a predefined tie-breaking policy to determine the inter-se merit rank. The criteria are applied sequentially until the tie is resolved.

  • Higher marks in Biology (Botany and Zoology combined)
