Why Was NEET PG Re-Exam Conducted in Rajasthan?

The re-examination was conducted due to a technical disruption at the two Sitapura centres in Jaipur. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the examination could not be completed for 2,445 candidates because of an internal power-supply issue at the test centres, with the issue attributed to the examination conducting agency, TCS Ltd.

NBEMS subsequently conducted a fresh examination for the affected candidates on September 5, 2026, instead of including them in the result based on an incomplete examination attempt.

The August 30 NEET PG examination remained valid for candidates who completed it, while the affected Rajasthan candidates were assessed through the September 5 re-examination.

70,000 is regarded as an average to low score in NEET PG. Yes, there is a high chance that the NEET PG qualifying percentile may be reduced to zero for the SC, ST, and OBC categories by the Union Health Ministry and the National Board of Examinations (NBE) in the last few rounds of counselling so that the seats at the medical colleges do not remain vacant. The general category cutoff may be reduced to the 7th percentile. However, no seat will be guaranteed with 0 percentile in NEET PG 2026. You will only be allowed to participate in the counselling process. Preference will always be given to candidates with higher ranks, and zero-percentile candidates will only be eligible for seats in private or deemed universities that have higher fee structures.

NEET PG cutoff 2026 has been released by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) along with the NEET PG 2026 result on September 24, 2026.
