NMAT Scaled Scores 2026

NMAT result is released in the form of overall score and scaled score. The total NMAT score ranges from 36 to 360. Scaled scores are the scores reported by GMAC after evaluating a candidate's performance using its scoring methodology. NMAT uses a computer-adaptive format, where questions are selected from a question pool based on a candidate's performance on the questions answered earlier. As a result, candidates with stronger performance receive more difficult questions, while candidates performing at a lower level receive comparatively easier questions.

After the test, GMAC uses a probabilistic model based on modern test theory to estimate the candidate's ability. In simple terms, NMAT does not calculate a candidate's score simply by counting the number of correct answers. Candidate’s performance is evaluated through the adaptive scoring model and then converted into a standardised scaled score.

NMAT Percentile Scores 2026

NMAT percentile indicates the percentage of test takers a candidate performed better than. For instance, if a candidate has a 75% percentile ranking, it means he performed better than 75% of other candidates and the remaining 25% candidates performed better than him.
