SNAP Counselling 2026: Key Highlights
Note: Candidates must register for the desired SIU programmes and pay the applicable programme registration fee. Payment of only the SNAP test fee does not make an application eligible for programme shortlisting.
SNAP Counselling Dates 2026
SIU has announced the SNAP result date, but the official bulletin does not provide one common counselling schedule for all Symbiosis institutes. Each institute and programme will announce its own GE-PI dates and further admission schedule.
Important: The SNAP 2026 bulletin directs candidates to check the respective institute websites for GE-PI information and dates. No single common GE-PI date applies to all SIU programmes.
SNAP Counselling Process 2026
The SNAP Counselling Process 2026 begins after the result and moves through programme-wise shortlisting, GE-PI, merit or wait list and admission. Each Symbiosis institute handles the further admission process separately for its programmes.
Programme Registration for SNAP 2026
Candidates seeking admission to an SIU MBA programme must register for the desired programme and pay the applicable programme registration fee. The official bulletin specifies a programme registration fee of INR 1,000 per programme, with applicable government taxes added where required.
Note: The SNAP registration process and programme selection are completed through the official SNAP portal.
Result and Shortlisting for SNAP 2026
The SNAP Result 2026 will be declared on January 12, 2027. Shortlisting for the further admission process is based on the candidate's overall SNAP percentile.
Each institute calculates its shortlisting cutoff separately for each programme. A candidate may therefore receive shortlists for more than one SIU programme based on the overall percentile. Separate GE-PI participation is required for each programme in such cases.
The SNAP score remains valid only for admission to selected SIU programmes for the 2027-28 academic year.
SNAP Counselling 2026 GE-PI Process
Shortlisted candidates must participate in the Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interaction (PI) process of the respective institute and programme.
The admission process is conducted separately for each programme. Candidates shortlisted for multiple programmes must therefore complete the GE-PI process separately for each programme.
Attendance in all required components of the GE-PI process is mandatory. A candidate who remains absent from any component or test of the admission process will not be considered eligible for the generation of the merit, wait or reject list.
SNAP Counselling 2026 Final Selection Criteria
The final selection process uses the SNAP score, Group Exercise and Personal Interaction. The official bulletin assigns 100 marks to the final merit score.
Note: The SNAP score contributes 50 marks to the final merit score, while GE and PI contribute 10 and 40 marks respectively.
SNAP Counselling Cutoff 2026
SNAP counselling 2026 does not have one common cutoff for all Symbiosis institutes. Each institute and programme decides its own SNAP 2026 shortlisting cutoff based on the overall SNAP percentile. Candidates meeting the required percentile are called for the institute-level GE-PI process.
What is the SNAP Qualifying Cutoff 2026?
There is no single official qualifying mark or percentile for SNAP 2026. The important cutoff is the institute-wise percentile used for shortlisting candidates for GE-PI. These cutoffs can vary significantly across SIU institutes and programmes.
The final merit list is prepared using the SNAP score, GE and PI. SNAP contributes 50 marks, GE contributes 10 marks, and PI contributes 40 marks, making the final score 100 marks.
