The Karnataka NEET UG 2025 Round 1 Counselling Process is currently underway. The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is conducting the Karnataka NEET UG Counselling Process 2025. The option entry window for Round 1 began soon after registration closed on July 17, 2025. Today, July 22, 2025, is the last day for candidates to enter their options on the official KEA portal at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. KEA has made it clear that candidates must complete the option entry process by 6:00 PM today. The counselling process is one of the important steps for MBBS and BDS admission in Karnataka medical colleges.
Important Guidelines for KEA NEET UG 2025 Option Entry
Read the following important guidelines for KEA NEET UG 2025 Option Entry. They are as given below-
- Only eligible candidates whose documents have been verified are allowed to participate in the option entry process.
- Option entry is a one-time process. The options entered during Round 1 will remain valid for subsequent rounds, including the Stray Vacancy Round.
- Candidates can enter as many options as they like across various courses and colleges, depending on their eligibility. This increases their chances of seat allotment based on their NEET rank.
- Candidates should prioritise their course preferences carefully. If a student places Medical as Priority 1, the same number should not be repeated for other streams like Engineering or Architecture.
- A verification slip with a QR code is necessary to begin the option entry process.
- Option entry fee of INR 750/- must be paid through the KEA payment gateway. Once the payment is successful, the “Candidates Option Entry” link becomes active.
- Mock allotment will be conducted using real-time data entered by candidates. This will give applicants a rough idea of the seat and college they might be allotted based on their preferences.
- KEA advises candidates to first prepare a list of preferred colleges and courses on paper. This should be based on the cutoff ranks of each institution.
- The online panel will show only the disciplines (Medical, Dental, etc.) for which the candidate is eligible. Candidates should fill options in the stream of their highest interest first.
- The option entry process may take time, as there are over 500 options available. KEA recommends that candidates give themselves enough time to fill the form carefully.

Candidates are advised not to wait until the last moment to fill in their options. A delay could lead to technical issues or missing the deadline entirely, which would affect their chances of securing a seat in the first round. Students should visit the official KEA website and complete their option entry well before 6:00 PM today. Further updates on seat allotment results and next steps will be shared by KEA soon after the option entry window closes.
