Who Can Apply for CLAT 2026?

Both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law candidates can appear in the CLAT 2026 test, which is conducted all over the country. The minimum educational, nationality, and qualification marks should be fulfilled by the candidates. In case of UG programmes, the student should have already passed or should be in his/her Class 12 board exam in 2026 with a recognised board. In PG programmes, the applicants are required to have a valid degree in LLB or recognised law programmes in any institute or university.

Both classes do not have an age upper limit. But at least, in the qualifying examination determined by the Consortium of NLUs, a high score should be obtained to pass with success. This makes CLAT inclusive to the large scope of aspirants who take up legal education in the leading NLUs.
