Career counselling expert Parijat Mishra highlighted that 14,452 candidates have registered for the first round of counselling this year, compared to 12,489 in the same period last year. Among the top 30,000 NEET UG scorers nationwide, 4,088 are from Rajasthan, an increase of 344 from last year. The revised merit list features:
- Defence category: 74 candidates
- Paramilitary category: 31 candidates
- PWD category: 80 candidates
- NRI category: 205 candidates
Education expert Dev Sharma noted that NRI candidates are almost sure to secure admission this year, as the 455 NRI seats far outnumber the 205 eligible candidates. However, MBBS fees for NRI seats range from INR 1.40 crore to INR 1.60 crore, excluding hostel and living expenses.
