Tamil Nadu NEET UG Counselling 2025 Round 1 is being extended as there is a delay in the All India Quota counselling. Candidates can register, fill in their choices, and lock them until 5:00 PM on August 16, 2025. The seat allotment process will take place on August 17, and the results will be published on August 18, 2025. Allotment orders can be downloaded from August 18 to August 24, 2025, up to 12:00 PM.

 

The last date for reporting to the allotted college under Round 1 is August 24, 2025, by 5:00 PM. The counselling is being conducted online by the Tamil Nadu Selection Committee for state quota seats in MBBS and BDS courses. Admissions will be based on NEET UG 2025 scores, with seats available across government and private medical colleges in the state.

 

NEET UG 2025 was held on May 4, 2025, with over 21 lakh students appearing for the exam. The process for Tamil Nadu counselling includes registration, choice filling, seat allotment, downloading the allotment order, and physical reporting to the allotted institute. More rounds will follow until all seats are filled.

To participate in Tamil Nadu NEET medical counselling, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Candidates must be Indian citizens, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO).
  • Must be a domicile of Tamil Nadu.
  • Have finished Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as subjects.
  • Must have qualified NEET UG 2025.
  • Must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2025.

Also, please note that NRI candidates are eligible to apply for management or NRI quota seats with a valid NEET score and all required documents.
