Admission to CDVL programmes is generally conducted on an annual cycle, with applications accepted between April–June for the upcoming academic year. The centre offers a rolling admission process for some certificate courses, while PG Diploma programmes have fixed deadlines. For the 2025 session, the application period is expected to be from April–June 2025, with course commencement in July–August 2025. Late applications may be considered with an additional fee, subject to seat availability.

As of 2025, CDVL does not offer dedicated undergraduate (UG) degree programmes; its focus remains on postgraduate diplomas and certificate courses. Currently, UG aspirants can apply for certificate courses if they meet the minimum eligibility criteria, which typically requires a 10+2 qualification or equivalent.
