Summer internship program:-
Summer Placement is an integral part of the academic curriculum of PGDM. After completing the program students are required to complete the SIP, which lasts for 8-10 weeks, although it may be longer in some cases.
After completing the 1st year of the program, before the commencement of the second year of the program, the students are required to work with an organisation for hands-on experience. CIMR, Mumbai placement cell works to bring reputable companies from various industries for campus recruitment.
SIP aims to improve candidates' skills by providing exposure to real-life organisational and environmental situations. It will enable students to explore industry/ organisations, build relationships with prospective employers, or simply hone their skills in familiar fields.
Some ideal projects for summer internships can be in the areas of strategy formulation, business process reengineering, MIS, ERP implementation, retail banking, industry analysis, new product launches, sales and distribution, market research and advertising, etc., thus the SIP can become a gateway for final placement of the students.
