NU - Hostel Fees for B.Tech, BBA, M.Tech & IMBA Students

Hostel, mess, and laundry fees for students enrolled in B.Tech, BBA, M.Tech, and IMBA programs are structured annually. Notably, in the fourth year of the B.Tech program, students are exempt from hostel fees for the second semester due to their Industry Practice (IP). Similar provisions apply for other programs as detailed below.

Important Notes on Fees and Payment

  • Female students are provided exclusively with single occupancy rooms, whereas male students may choose from triple, double, or single occupancy rooms.
  • For the first semester of Academic Year 2024, only the tuition fee is required at enrolment. However, hostel, mess, and laundry fees will be collected following the official announcement of campus reopening, and at least two weeks prior to the start of on-campus residential activities.
  • In the fourth year of the B.Tech program, hostel fees apply only for the first semester due to the Industry Practice. Should a student pursue IP on campus, full-year hostel fees will be applicable.
  • The laundry fee for the fourth year iMBA program also covers only one semester due to Industry Practice, with full-year fees applicable if IP is completed on campus.
  • For the second and third years of the BBA program, hostel, mess, and laundry fees apply for one semester only because of Industry Practice. Full-year fees are charged if IP is completed at NU.
  • The second year M.Tech program follows similar rules, with fees for one semester only during Industry Practice unless pursued on campus, in which case full-year fees apply.

NU - Hostel Fees for Ph.D. Students

Ph.D. students at NU have semester-wise hostel, mess, and laundry fees applicable for each semester of their academic year. The fees listed are for Academic Year 2025 and cover both Semester 1 and Semester 2.
