- Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or equivalent examination (10+2) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational subject, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies.
- Minimum Marks: A minimum of 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination is required (40% for candidates belonging to reserved categories from Maharashtra State).
- Entrance Exams: Candidates must appear for MHT CET 2025 (mandatory for Maharashtra State and Minority Candidature) or JEE Main 2025 (preferred for All India Candidature). A non-zero score in either exam is essential, with JEE Main scores given preference over MHT CET for admission.

- Academic Qualification: Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline from a recognised university.
- Minimum Marks: A minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade is required in the qualifying examination.
- Entrance Requirement: Candidates must clear the university’s Ph.D. entrance test, followed by an interview conducted by the institution.
- Exemption: Candidates who have qualified for UGC-NET (including JRF), UGC-CSIR NET, GATE, or equivalent national-level exams are exempted from the entrance test but must appear for the interview.
TSEC Mumbai Admission Process Overview
- Schedule: The admission schedule for 2025-26 has been postponed to 10th September 2025, with Institute Level Round 1 and CAP Vacancy Round commencing at 10:30 AM in the National College Auditorium, Bandra.
- Merit Lists: Provisional merit list will be displayed on 8th September 2025 at 05:00 PM, with grievances entertained via email (tsec.admission@thadomal.org) until 10:00 PM. The final merit list will be published on 9th September 2025 at 03:00 PM.
- Vacancy Rounds: Post-10th September, vacancy rounds will be conducted daily from 11/09/2025 to 15/09/2025 for cancellations, with details updated on www.tsecadmission.org.
- Fee Structure: Regular fee against CAP cancellation is Rs. 2,02,957, while Institute Quota fees are Rs. 4,01,957 for AI/DS, CE, IT, and Rs. 3,01,957 for EXTC and Chemical Engineering, including a different fee for transfers.
