The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, or IIST Trivandrum, is located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, and was founded in 2007. A UGC-recognized Deemed-to-be University, IIST Trivandrum operates independently under the Department of Space, Government of India. The AICTE has approved each and every academic program offered at IIST Trivandrum. In order to provide top-notch instruction in the fields of space sciences, space technology, and space applications at the undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and post-doctoral levels, the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology Trivandrum was founded.
IIST Trivandrum had Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the renowned technocrat and former President of India as its very first Chancellor and Prof U.R. Rao, the eminent space scientist and one of the former Chairman of ISRO, as its second chancellor. IIST Trivandrum Admission
Applicants can apply online for admission to postgraduate (PG) and doctoral (Ph.D.) programs through the institute's official website. For PG programs, the application fee is INR 600, with a reduced fee of INR 300 for women, SC, ST, and PWD candidates. For Ph.D. programs, the application fee is INR 700 per department, with a reduced fee of INR 350 for women, SC, ST, and PWD candidates.
