IIST Course Admission 2025: Eligibility, Application Process

IIST Admission 2025 is either merit-based or entrance-based. At undergraduate level, IIST Trivandrum offers B.Tech, B.Tech + MS & B.Tech + M.Tech programs whereas at postgraduate level it offers M.Tech & MS. For the B.Tech admissions at IIST, candidates are required to appear for the both JEE Main and JEE Advanced examination and participate in the counseling for final seat allotments. M.tech admissions at IIST are done on the basis of GATE Scores. Further, for PhD Admission, it accepts UGC NET-JRF/ CSIR NET-JRF/ JEST/ GATE followed by Online Screening & Online Interview.
IIST charges INR 91700 Per Semester for UG programs and INR 67200 Per Semester for PG programs. The registration fee for UG Admission 2025 is INR 1000 for Male candidates in General/ EWS/ OBC-NCL & INR 500 for Female candidates in General/ EWS/ OBC-NCL & All SC/ ST/ PD candidates.

How To Apply : IIST Admission 2025
Candidates who wish to enroll in IIST's undergraduate and dual degree programs must apply independently to IIST using the online application site and adhere to the instructions listed below:
- Registration: Go to the Undergraduate Admission link on the online application portal. Fill out all the information and adhere to the instructions. Candidates who successfully register will receive an IIST Registration Number generated by the system. Applicants must provide a password. The candidate alone is in charge of making sure the password is secure to prevent abuse. The same photo that candidates used to register for JEE (Advanced) 2024 must be uploaded in soft copy. Before registering, candidates are encouraged to carefully review the qualifying requirements listed in Section 8.
- Payment of the Registration Fee: The registration fee must be paid electronically only. To do this, go to the online application portal and click the PAY REGISTRATION FEE option. Payment receipt confirmation will be sent to the registered email address and mobile number. The registration fee, which varies depending on the category, is non-refundable.
- Male applicants in OBC-NCL, EWS, and general: INR 1000
- Female applicants in OBC-NCL, EWS, and general: INR 500
- All candidates who are SC, ST, or PD: INR 500
