IGU Meerpur provides UG courses viz. B.Tech, in CSE, LLB, B.Pharm, B.Pharm (LEET) and BHMCT course. At PG level, it provides MA with 7 specializations, M.Sc. with 8 disciplines, M.Tech in CSE, MCA, MBA, M.Com, M.Com (Integrated), MPES and LLM course in its curriculum. Minimum qualification required for B.Tech is 10+2 exam with Physics and Mathematics as core subjects and any one of the following subjects: Chemistry/Biology/Technical Vocational subject/Biotechnology. For B.Pharm, students should pass a 10+2 exam with compulsory subjects of Physics or Chemistry and one of the following subjects: Mathematics/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science with 50% marks. Indira Gandhi University runs M.Phil. course with four disciplines and PhD program with 6 specializations.
Selection to Ph.D and M.Phil is done on the basis of Entrance Examination conducted by the university. Students who have applied for M.Phil. course must have Master’s Degree in relevant discipline with at least 55% marks (50% for SC and ST category) in aggregate.
