AU – Hostel Admission and Fee Payment Guidelines
The hostel allotment is valid for one academic session, with fees charged upfront before the session begins. Once the session has started and a student has moved into the hostel, withdrawal is not permitted. Hostel fees are refundable only if the request is made before the session commencement, following the university’s refund policy.
In the particular case of first-year students withdrawing mid-session, the food charges for the remaining period will be refunded. Students who complete a full session and wish to continue for the next must re-register by paying a re-registration fee of Rs. 20,000, typically collected in April.
If a student does not utilize the hostel facility after re-registering, the Rs. 20,000 will be forfeited. However, if the student joins in the subsequent session based on this re-registration, this amount will be adjusted against the hostel fee.
A fine of Rs. 100 per day is imposed on any pending dues.
AU – Special Accommodation Provisions
Students engaged in internships can avail hostel accommodation for one semester on payment of 60% of the annual hostel fee. Similarly, six-month accommodation during the even semester is possible based on availability, also charged at 60% of the hostel fee.
