BTech Mathematics and Computing Admission Process 2025

B.Tech Mathematics and Computing admission is based on national, state, or university-level entrance examinations, followed by counseling. The candidates who will clear the minimum cut-off of the institute will be called for the counseling process. The final admission will be based on the availability of seats.

 

Admission Procedure:

 

Let's consider the admission process of IIT Delhi to understand the admission procedure for B.Tech Mathematics and Computing. The admission in other IITs will also be similar to IIT Delhir:

  1. Registration: Firstly, the candidates will have to register for the JEE-Main and then appear for the exam. After the results are released, if the candidates are among the top 2.5 Lakh rank holders of JEE-Main, then they will be eligible to register for JEE-Advanced. The candidates can register through www.jeeadv.ac.in.
  2. Appear for the Entrance Exam: The applicants should download the admit card and appear for JEE Advanced at the allotted centers.
  3. Result Declaration: The results will be displayed on the JEE Advanced online portal. The category-wise All-India Ranks (AIR) will be displayed, and the test messages will be sent to the candidates at their registered mobile numbers.
  4. Counseling Process: The candidates who have cleared the minimum cutoff will have to register for JoSAA counseling.
  5. Seat Allotment: The candidates will be allotted seats based on the availability of the seats. Once the seat is allotted, the candidates will have to confirm their admission by paying the admission fees.
  6. Document Verification: The candidates selected for admission will have to provide the original documents for document verification at the time of admission.
