  • Some universities, like ICFAI University, Tripura, require a B.Ed in General Science and a Diploma in Special Education with a minimum of 50% marks in each course.
  • Admission to JMI (Jamia Millia Islamia) requires an entrance examination, which is scheduled to be held in May 2025. To be eligible for admission to JMI, students additionally need to have a valid RCI registration from the Rehabilitation Council Of India.

 

 

M.Ed. Special Education Admission Process

Admission in  M.Ed. Special Education is typically merit-based or entrance test-based. Candidates are required to take the following steps:

  • Candidates need to apply online through the official website of JMI since there is no printed form available.
  • Document requirements are a valid email ID, a soft copy of a passport-sized photo, and digital signature.
  • Payment of the application fee can be made through Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking.
  • After submission, a Unique CODE and login credentials will be mailed to the registered email address.
  • Applicants can view their application status on the JMI admission portal.
  • A Common Entrance Exam will be conducted for all the applicants irrespective of the medium opted for.
  • The candidates are required to print the admit card and affix a passport-sized photograph before the test.
  • The entrance exam will be conducted on 16 May 2025 at various centres.
  • Shortlisted candidates will undergo a two-round interview.
  • Documents like mark sheets, age proof, caste certificate (if required), character certificate, blood group report, and address proof are needed at the final admission.
