BITSAT Exam Centre Allotment 2027

BITSAT exam centre allotment 2027 starts with three test-city preferences for centres in India, given in the application form. BITS Pilani then allots one test city based on those preferences and centre availability, in March 2027 for Session 1 and in May 2027 for Session 2. After allotment, candidates reserve a date and shift through BITSAT slot booking 2027. Candidates applying for an Indian test centre could provide three city preferences in the application form. BITS Pilani then allotted one test city based on the candidate's preferences and the availability of centres.

Note: BITSAT test city allotment and slot-booking stages are two separate process. BITS Pilani's admission process lists test date and slot reservation before hall-ticket download, followed by the BITSAT examination.

BITSAT Test City Preference Rules

BITSAT 2027 test city preference rules depend on the location chosen in the application. Candidates applying in India give three test-city preferences, while candidates choosing Kathmandu give Kathmandu plus two options in India. Dubai and Kuwait applicants are allotted the international centre they select, and the final number of operating centres and test days depends on the applicants and preferences received.

The 2026 brochure also stated that the final operating centres and the number of days on which a centre would conduct the test depended on the number of applicants and the preferences received.

Candidates will have to select three test cities in order of their preference while completing the BITSAT application process. BITS Pilani will allot one centre based on availability, the number of applicants and the preference order. If none of the three can be allotted, the candidate will get a centre at one of the BITS campuses in Pilani, Goa or Hyderabad.

After allotment, candidates will need to book the exam slot and choose the test date and time.

Here is the BITSAT schedule organized in a clean comparison table:

How to Choose the Best BITSAT Exam Centre?

To choose the best BITSAT exam centre 2027 students will not choose a city that keeps travel simple on the exam day. The other two selected exam centre options must be a nearer location so that it will not be much of a hassle on BITSAT Exam day. Most guides only list BITSAT test centres, but the three preferences decide where a candidate actually writes the exam. BITSAT paper analysis of earlier sessions will help in choosing between Session 1 and Session 2. Candidates who appear in both sessions can also choose different cities for each session. Seat allotment for both of the sessions will be carried out separately.

Following factors will be useful in the BITSAT test centre selection into five practical decisions:

• Travel time on exam day: Candidates are required to keep a check on the door to centre travel time, the last bus or train options and the reporting time on the admit card. A city reachable on the same morning or the night before, without several changes of transport, is the better choice.
• Preference order: The three cities should be genuinely different options. The home city goes first, the nearest alternative second and a well connected major city third, instead of three suburbs of one metro.
• Fallback risk: BITS Pilani assigns a centre at Pilani, Goa or Hyderabad if no preference is available. Candidates should include at least one major city among the three choices and check that travel to a BITS campus is feasible.
• Stay and logistics: Accommodation, local transport, weather in April and May and the family member travelling along all matter. Candidates should arrive a day early in an unfamiliar city and book the stay before the exam week rush.
• Session and slot timing: Session 1 in April and Session 2 in May have separate allotments. Candidates should choose the session first, then the slot, and avoid clashes with board practicals or other entrance exams.

This distinction is important because selecting a city during application does not mean that the candidate has selected a particular building or test venue.

When Is the BITSAT Exam Centre Address Available?

The exact centre address is mentioned on the BITSAT Admit card. The hall ticket also carries the examination date and slot assigned to the candidate.

Candidates should check the centre name and address on the hall ticket before travelling to the examination venue.

Can BITSAT Exam Centre Be Changed?

BITSAT 2026 candidates were allowed to enter their test-city preferences during application, but the allotted test city was subject to the availability of centres and the preferences submitted.

The official brochure also stated that BITS Pilani could cancel a test centre and accommodate affected candidates at an alternative centre if required. In such cases, the alternative arrangement could include another designated centre or one of the BITS campuses.
