BITSAT Latest news and articles
BITSAT eligibility 2027 requires candidates to pass Class 12 with at least 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) or Biology (PCB). Each of the three subjects must also carry at least 60%, and both theory and practical marks count, so a candidate below 60% in any one subject is not eligible even with a 75% aggregate. PCB candidates need Mathematics proficiency at Class 10 level, and the passing-year rule, confirmed in the brochure, is explained in the BITSAT 2027 eligibility criteria.

BITSAT Eligibility 2027BITSAT Eligibility 2027 will follow the latest BITS Pilani requirement of 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology and at least 60% in each of these subjects. The institute also specifies the Class 12 passing-year and improvement conditions. The final 2027 rules will be confirmed in the official admission brochure.
Note: BITS Pilani's latest eligibility page specifies these academic conditions for admission.
BITSAT Eligibility for PCM Students
PCM candidates must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in Class 12 or an equivalent examination. BITSAT eligibility is based on the combined marks in these three subjects, along with the minimum marks required separately in each subject. The 75% aggregate requirement is calculated only from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and marks obtained in other subjects are not considered for this calculation. Candidates must also score at least 60% individually in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The PCM route applies to B.E. programmes and other BITS programmes where Mathematics is prescribed as a qualifying subject.
Note: A candidate scoring 75% or more in PCM but less than 60% in any one of the three subjects would not meet the subject-wise eligibility requirement. Therefore, both the overall PCM aggregate and the individual marks in each subject must be satisfied.
BITSAT Eligibility for PCB Students
PCB candidates can apply for programmes specifically permitted under the PCB eligibility route. They must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology in Class 12 and secure at least 75% aggregate marks in these three subjects. In addition to the aggregate requirement, candidates must score a minimum of 60% separately in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The PCB route also requires candidates to have Mathematics proficiency at the Class 10 level, wherever prescribed under the programme eligibility criteria. PCB candidates are eligible for applicable programmes, including B.Pharm. and B.E. Environmental and Sustainability Engineering, subject to the programme-specific conditions.
Note: PCB candidates should check the programme-wise eligibility requirements before applying, as having the required PCB marks does not automatically make a candidate eligible for every BITS programme. The final programme-specific conditions for BITSAT 2027 should be verified from the official information brochure once released.
BITSAT Eligibility Age Limit
BITSAT does not currently prescribe a separate general age limit. Eligibility is primarily linked to the candidate’s Class 12 qualification, passing year, subject combination and marks.
BITSAT Eligibility Criteria 2027 for International Students
International applicants can seek admission through either the BITSAT route or the International Students Admission (ISA) Scheme, depending on their status and admission route. The ISA Scheme is specifically for candidates holding a non-Indian passport and uses SAT scores for admission.
For the latest ISA eligibility requirements, candidates must meet the following academic and SAT conditions:
Important: Candidates who apply through ISA with foreign qualifications may also need to provide an equivalence certificate from AIU at the admission stage, as applicable. The 1160 SAT requirement applies to the ISA route, not as a general BITSAT score requirement.
