BITSAT Iteration 2027(Explained)

An iteration is a stage of the BITSAT admission process at which BITS Pilani processes candidates for available seats according to their merit and programme preferences.

• Each iteration is a separate round of seat allotment conducted by BITS Pilani.
• Candidates are considered based on their merit position, programme preferences and available seats.
• A candidate who does not get a seat in one iteration may receive an allotment in a later iteration.
• Candidates who already have a seat may be considered for a higher-preference programme in subsequent iterations, subject to seat availability.
• The first iteration is not necessarily the final allotment. Candidates should check their status in every announced iteration.

BITSAT Preference Form 2027

The BITSAT preference form allows candidates to rank the programmes and campuses they want to be considered for during admission. The preference form is particularly important because a candidate's BITSAT score alone does not determine the final programme allotted. The allotment also depends on programme preference, merit position and available seats.

Candidates can include different programme-campus combinations in their preference order. The order should be checked carefully before submission because the admission system considers the preferences while processing seat allotment.

BITSAT Counselling Eligibility 2027

Candidates must satisfy the BITS admission eligibility requirements to participate in the admission process. For the latest eligibility conditions, candidates should check the BITSAT eligibility criteria 2027 before submitting the admission form.

BITSAT Counselling 2027: What Happens After Seat Allotment?

After receiving a seat, candidates need to follow the instructions given with the allotment result. This generally includes accepting the offer, paying the required fee and completing the admission formalities within the specified deadline.

Candidates should continue checking subsequent iteration results because the programme allotted can change if a higher preference becomes available.
