BITSAT Tie-Breaking Criteria 2026
Admissions to all programs offered by the various campuses of BITS are based solely on merit, determined by the scores obtained by candidates in the BITSAT 2026 examination. Where multiple candidates score equally on BITSAT, the following tie-breaking criteria would be used for such cases:
- Candidate’s Mathematics or Biology score will be considered while preparing for the BITSAT 2026 Merit List.
- If the tie still exists, then the authority will prioritise the candidate’s Physics score.
- And if the tie still exists, then the Chemistry score will be preferred.

BITSAT Merit List 2026
The candidates will be eligible for the BITSAT 2026 Merit List if they achieve the minimum marks set by the authorities in BITSAT 2026, as well as in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics of their 12th class examination. Additionally, there will be separate merit lists for admission, one for all programmes except B.Pharm, and the other specifically for B.Pharm candidates.
