MICAT Selection Process 2027
The following steps are included in the MICAT selection process 2027:
MICAT Psychometric Test in Selection Process 2027
The MICAT psychometric test is essential component of the selection process. It is mandatory for all candidates to qualify for this section in order to get eligible for GE and PI rounds.
While evaluating the candidates, their Psychometric test performance is evaluated first. Candidates who qualify for this section are then evaluated on the basis of their other sections.
Hence, candidates should understand that even though this section is qualifier only, it’s mandatory for candidates to pass Psychometric test if they want to get shortlisted for further MICAT selection process 2027.
MICAT 1 vs MICAT 2 Score for Selection 2027
Candidates can appear for both MICAT 1 and MICAT 2. MICA considers the better score from the two attempts for admission to PGDM-C and PGDM.
Candidates therefore have the option of taking a second attempt if they want another opportunity to improve their MICAT performance.
MICAT GE and PI 2027
Candidates who qualify for the MICAT written test will be called for the Group Exercise and Personal Interview rounds as further selection process. The GE and PI rounds will be conducted at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai as exam centres.
Group Exercise
- One of the further stages in MICAT selection process is Group Exercise.
- In this, candidates will be given a task or a case which they have to solve in a group setting based on their discussion.
- The exercise is done to evaluate the communication skills, idea contribution, listening skills, collaboration, and situational awareness skills of candidates.
- The topic and format for GE vary every year.
Personal Interview
- In personal interview round, candidates interact directly with the MICA interview panel.
- The questions that can be asked in personal interview round include their work experience, academic background, career goals, current affairs, and general management.
- Candidates should also be ready to answer any questions related to their ICAT score, application, or why they want to study at MICA.
- The exact questions asked in the PI round also vary every year.
MICAT Final Merit List 2027
After the GE and PI rounds, the final merit list will be prepared. The final merit list will include names of all the candidates who have been selected for admission. The MICAT final merit list 2027 will be prepared on the basis of candidates' entrance-test score, MICAT performance, GE and PI assessment, academic record, and diversity/ extracurricular factors.
The final merit list determines which candidates receive admission offers for the respective programme. Each of these rounds has different weightage in the overall merit score.
What After the MICAT Final Merit List 2027?
Candidates included in the final merit list can proceed with the admission formalities specified by MICA. This generally involves accepting the admission offer, completing the required documentation, and paying the prescribed fee within the given deadline.
The 2027 PGDM-C and PGDM programmes have 180 and 60 seats respectively, according to MICA's current admissions information.
