Symbiosis International (Deemed University) will hold SNAP 2026 as three separate tests in December 2026, and candidates can take up to three of them. Only the best score is used for shortlisting at Symbiosis institutes. SNAP is a 60-question, 60-minute test with a −0.25 penalty for wrong answers. SNAP score = correct answers − (wrong answers × 0.25)
Every question carries one mark, so the maximum is 60. Four wrong answers cancel out one correct answer.

How the SNAP Best-of-Three Rule Works
SNAP is the only major MBA entrance test in India where you can sit the same exam up to three times in one cycle and keep only your best result. If you score 38.50 in Test 1, 41.25 in Test 2 and 40.00 in Test 3, Symbiosis uses 41.25. A weaker later attempt does not pull your score down.

Each attempt is a separate registration and fee, so many candidates take two tests: one to get used to the pace, and a second to improve.

SNAP Speed and Accuracy: What Your Score Tells You
With one minute per question, SNAP rewards speed more than any other MBA test. Your score depends on both how many questions you attempt and how accurately. The table shows how the same 45 attempts lead to very different scores at different accuracy levels.

At four options per question, a blind guess has an expected value of +0.06, close to zero; guess only after eliminating at least one option.
Raw SNAP Score vs Percentile
Symbiosis declares SNAP results with scores and percentiles, and its institutes shortlist using the best score across a candidate's attempts. Since each test has a different paper, the result accounts for differences between tests. Percentiles depend on how all candidates performed, so the same raw score can mean a different percentile in another year.
How to Calculate Your SNAP Score After Each Test
- After each test, note how many questions you attempted in each section and how confident you are.
- When Symbiosis releases answer keys or responses, compare your answers and count correct and wrong ones.
- Enter them in the calculator to get that test's score.
- Add each test's score to the best-of-three table.
- Use the best score to decide whether another attempt is worth it.

How many times can I take SNAP 2026?
Up to three times, once in each of the three December 2026 tests. Only your best score is used.
Which SNAP score does Symbiosis use?
The best of all the SNAP 2026 tests you took. A lower score in another test does not affect it.
Is there negative marking in SNAP?
Yes. A quarter of a mark is deducted for each wrong answer. There is no penalty for unattempted questions.
