• Children legally adopted by Army personnel provided the adoption occurred at least five years before applying for admission.
• Stepchildren qualify for eligibility if they were born to a marriage in which at least one parent served in the Indian Army and meets the requirements.

3. Eligibility Criteria in Special Cases (Certificate No. 3)

• Eligibility criteria for children of former Army Medical Corps officers or Army Dental Corps officers currently serving with the Indian Navy or Air Force (IN/IAF) require that the officers must have previously served in the Army for a minimum of 10 years.

4. Eligibility Criteria for Children of APS/MNS/TA Personnel

• Wards of APS personnel recognized as ex-servicemen according to the Government of India, Ministry of Defence letter No. 9 (52)/88/D(Res) dated July 19, 1989.
• Children of APS personnel on deputation who have completed at least 10 years of service in the Indian Army.
• Children of APS personnel directly recruited into APS who have served for 10 years, including those who retired from APS without reverting to the P&T Department, having completed their minimum pensionable service, with 10 of those years in the Indian Army.
• Wards of MNS members who have completed 10 years of service as regular members of MNS or who receive a pension from the Indian Army.
• Children of TA personnel who have completed 10 years of embodied service.
