IIM Udaipur Cutoff 2025 is one of the most important factors for students who wish to take admission in its MBA program for the 2025–27 batch. Established in 2011, IIM Udaipur offers a two-year flagship MBA (PGP) program with an approved intake of 375 students for the 2025–27 batch. IIM Udaipur participates in the Common Admission Process (CAP) alongside other new IIMs. It evaluates candidates based on their CAT scores, performance in the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI), academic background, work experience, and diversity factors. The selection process is rigorous and holistic.

 

To secure admission to the 2025 MBA course, a student from the General category must achieve a combined CAT score of the 95th percentile with 75th percentile scores in VARC, DILR, and QA each. However, the ultimate cutoff is likely to be at a higher rate, depending on the rivalry and the candidate profiles.

IIM Udaipur Course-wise Cutoff (2025)

Currently, the Postgraduate Programme in Management (MBA) of Udaipur is offered through the CAT and CAP. Based on the trend of the past year, the overall CAT score cutoff percentile is projected to vary between the 94th and 96th percentiles for candidates in the General category.

IIM Udaipur CAT Cutoff 2025 (Expected)

IIM Udaipur follows the Common Admission Process (CAP) and has defined minimum qualifying CAT 2024 percentiles for candidates to be eligible for the WAT-PI round. For General category candidates, the cutoff stands at a 95th percentile overall, with a 75th percentile required in each of the three sections: VARC, DILR, and QA. The EWS and NC-OBC categories have a lower overall cutoff of the 81st percentile, with sectional cutoffs of 55 and 52, respectively. For SC candidates, the required overall percentile is 66, with a minimum of 45 in each section. The ST and DAP categories have the lowest thresholds, with overall and sectional scores ranging between the 42nd percentile and 25 to 30. These scores are qualifying in nature, and the actual final cutoff for admission may be higher, depending on the candidate's performance and the level of competition.

IIM Udaipur Category-Wise Overall Percentile Cutoff 2025

General category students can only apply to MBA courses at IIM Udaipur within the 2025-27 batch, with the lowest cutoff being the 95th percentile. In contrast, lower percentiles will be required for EWS and NC-OBC reserved categories, which require at least the 81st percentile. The election candidates have relaxed cutoffs of 66, 42, and 42 percentiles for SC, ST and DAP candidates, respectively.

IIM Udaipur Selection Criteria 2025

The final entrance into the MBA 2025-27 batch of IIM Udaipur is based on a Composite Score assessment of candidates on various parameters. The Normalised CAT Score bears the maximum weightage of 57 per cent. The Personal Appearance (PA) component, comprising the Written Ability Test (WAT) and the Personal Interview (PI), accounts for 21%, with 6% allocated to the WAT and 15% to the PI. The other 22% is designated to the candidate profile, which comprises 8% of academic performance, 9% of work experience, and 5% of academic or gender diversity. To secure final admission, candidates must also meet the minimum WAT and PI cutoffs.

IIM Udaipur MBA 2025–27 Reservation of Seats

In the upcoming MBA Batch of 2025-27, IIM Udaipur is expected to admit approximately 375 students in total, by the Government of India guidelines and the following reservations. Out of this, approximately 138 candidates can probably be available to those in the General category. The reservation scheme has the following percentage of seats allocated as follows,10 percent (around 38 seats) are to be reserved to the candidates belonging to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), 27 percent (approximately 101 seats) of Non-Creamy Layer Other Backward classes (NC-OBC), 15 percent (56 seats) on Scheduled Caste (SC) and 7.5 percent (28 seats) on Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates. Additionally, 5 per cent of the total seats, which is approximately 19, are horizontally reserved in favour of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), and this is not restricted to any specific category. Such a reservation matrix maintains a diversity profile and inclusion of non-mainstream representation in that new batch.

It has maintained a steady and viable CAT cutoff percentile for the third consecutive year, which has been above that of the competition. The overall percentile cutoff, along with the cutoffs of all three sections — Quantitative Aptitude (Quants), Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR) — has been maintained at the 92nd percentile each year over the period from 2022 to 2024.
