Digital University Kerala, formerly known as Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management-Kerala (IIITM-K), was established in 2000 by the Government of Kerala as an autonomous institution. It was upgraded to university status in January 2020, under Ordinance No. 9 of 2020, and now functions from Technocity, Thiruvananthapuram. IIITM-K was registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act and governed by a board including visionaries like K P P Nambiar, F.C. Kohli, V Rajaraman, and Vijay Bhatkar. It has pioneered advanced education and research in AI, Cyber Security, Blockchain, Geospatial Analytics, NLP, IoT, and Digital Humanities. The university hosts centres such as the Kerala Blockchain Academy and Maker Village and has collaborated with bodies like MeitY, DST, ICMR, ICAR, and NITI Aayog.

Digital University Kerala courses and fee structure are designed to offer affordable, high-quality education in advanced technology and research fields. The university offers M.Sc., M.Tech, MBA, and PhD programmes with specialisations in emerging domains such as AI, Cybersecurity, Blockchain, and Data Analytics. Admissions are through competitive exams such as DUAT, CUET PG, GATE, CAT, UGC NET, XAT, CMAT, NMAT, KMAT, GRE, DRAT, or CEED, depending on the course. The total fees are INR 2,15,000 for the M.Sc. and M.Tech programmes, and INR 4,15,000 for the MBA programme. Full-time PhD scholars are exempt from tuition fees and receive scholarships of up to INR 30,000 per month, while part-time and industry PhD programmes cost INR 50,000 per year.

Admission is based on national-level exams, such as CUET PG, GATE, CAT, and UGC NET, as well as university-level tests like DUAT (for postgraduate studies) and DRAT (for PhD).   • DUAT applicants: INR 750 (General), INR 375 (SC/ST/Divyang)
• The application fee is non-refundable.
• After payment, the form is auto-submitted, and a confirmation email is sent.

Selection Process
