Madras University Distance Education (IDE UNOM): Eligibility Criteria – Courses, Age Limit & Qualifications

The Madras University, also called University of Madras, has developed an exceptional Institute of Distance Education (IDE) in 1981. This main goal of IDE is to help potential learner's to achieve their academic, careers and other personal goals even from a distance. Currently, IDE offers 16 UG courses, 22 PG courses under CBCS Pattern (UGC Approved), 19 Diploma Courses and 16 Certificate Courses. Admissions to these 73 Programmes are made all throughout the year via two streams, named as - Academic Year Admissions and Calendar Year Admissions. Before admission, students must ensure that they meet certain eligibility criteria to their preferred course. Course Programme Eligibility Criteria
Undergraduate (UG) B.A. / B.Sc / B.Com / BCA / BBA / B.Lit Applicants must've completed their Class 10+2 from a Recognised Board with a minimum percentage as set by the Institution
Postgraduate (PG) M.A. / M.Sc. / M.Com / MBA Students must've completed their Graduation Degree in related subjects from a recognised University
MCA / MCA (Lateral) Applicants should have completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Applications (BCA) or B.Sc in Computer Science with Mathematics as a compulsory subject both Class 10+2 and Graduation Level
Diploma and Certificate - Applicants for Diploma and Certificate Courses, should've completed Class 10+2 from a Recognised Board
PG Diploma / PGDM / PGDM-HM - For PG Diploma, Students should have completed Graduation Degree from a Recognised University
