Regional Institute of Education: Eligibility Criteria – Courses, Age Limit & Qualifications

B.Sc, B.Ed. Four Year Integrated

Candidates seeking admission to Physical Science Group must have passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) and those seeking admission to Biological Science Group must have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at +2 Level.
Candidate must have passed +2/ Hr. Sec/ Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination recognised by University/ Board with at least 50% marks in overall aggregate of qualifying examination (Relaxation 5% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates). The qualifying examination should be recognised by the affiliating universities of the RIEs.
Candidates who have passed +2/ Hr. Sec./Sr. Or any equivalent examination and appearing in 2024 only will be eligible.

BA, B.Ed Four year integrated

Candidates must have passed +2/ Hr. Secondary/ Sr. Secondary or equivalent examination in science and Commerce stream or in Arts stream with at least 50% marks in aggregate (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/PWD Candidates).

M.Sc Ed six year integrated

Candidates seeking admission to M.Sc Ed. (Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics) must have passed with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at +2 Level.
Candidates must have passed +2/ Hr. Sec/ Sr. Sec or any equivalent examination recognised by University/ Board with at least 50% marks in aggregate of qualifying examination (relaxation 5% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates). The qualifying examination should be recognised by the affiliating University of RIE, Mysuru.
Candidates who have passed +2/ Hr. Sec/ Sr. Sec or any equivalent examination.

B.Ed- M.Ed Three year integrated

A postgraduate degree in science/ Social science/ humanities/ commerce from a recognised Institutes/ Universities with a minimum 55% marks or grade (relaxation by 5% for SC/ST/PWD Candidates).

B.Ed Two year

Candidates with at least 50% marks in Bachelor's Degree and/ or in the Master's degree in Science/ Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology (with science or Mathematics) or in Bachelor's degree and /or in the Master's Degree in Social science/ Humanities are eligible for admission to the program (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates). The candidates should upload only the marks secured in degree examination as qualifying marks.
Candidates with at least 50% marks in Bachelor's Degree in Science/ BE/B.Tech (Science/ Mathematics) are eligible for B.Ed (Science and maths group) and candidates with Bachelor's Degree in social science/ humanities or Master degree in Social science/ humanities are eligible for B.Ed (Social Science and Language Group), respectively.

M.Ed two year

Candidates seeking admission to the M.Ed program should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade (relaxation by 5% for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the following programs/ courses from any University/ College/ Institute recognised by affiliating Universities.
