The Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology for Handicapped (AITH) was established in 1997 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh as part of a World Bank-funded project under the Technical Education Program. The institute is associated with AKTU Lucknow. AITH Kanpur offers technical education to students at the undergraduate (B.Tech.) and diploma levels.
