NEET 2025 Result (Jun 14 Expected), Scorecard, Answer Key and Important Dates

NEET 2025 Result is expected to be declared on June 14, 2025. The result will be available on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. NTA will also release the final NEET Answer Key 2025 with the declaration of result. Candidates can access their NEET 2025 result by logging in with their application number, date of birth, and email. 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will also release NEET 2025 scorecard and merit list. Candidates can download the scorecard using their login credentials from the official website. 

Last year, 44 students scored the highest possible marks of 720. A total of 13,15,853 students passed the NEET 2024 exam out of 23,33,162 students who took the test. How to Check NEET 2025 Result

The result of NEET exam is released at the official website of NTA. Candidates can follow the steps below to check and download NEET 2025 Result. 

• Students are required to visit the official website at neet.nta.ac.in.
• Search for the ‘View Result’ tab, and click on it.
• Now, enter the required details like application number, password, or D.O.B., and the security pin.
• The NEET 2025 Result will be displayed on the screen.
• Students need to download and take a printout of the NEET 2025 result (scorecard) for future use.

How is the NEET percentile score calculated?

The NEET percentile score indicates how a candidate's performance compares to others. It represents the percentage of candidates who scored lower than a particular aspirant. The NEET percentile is determined in relation to the highest score obtained in the exam. According to NTA, the NEET percentile rank reflects the percentage of scores that fall below a specific score within a group. A standard formula is used to calculate a candidate's NEET percentile score. The formula for calculating the NEET percentile is provided below.

NEET Percentile = [(Total number of candidates who appeared - NEET rank) / Total number of candidates who appeared] × 100

NEET 2025 Tie-Breaking Rules

If two or more students get the same marks in NEET 2025, a tie-breaking method is used to decide their rank. Here’s how it works:

1. Biology Marks – The student with higher marks in Biology will get a better rank.
2. Chemistry Marks – If the tie still exists, the student with higher marks in Chemistry will be ranked higher.
3. Fewer Wrong Answers – If the tie remains, the student with fewer incorrect answers will be given a better rank.
4. Age Factor – Earlier, older candidates were given preference, but this rule was removed. However, it might be used in the second round of NEET counselling.

NEET 2025 Result Validity

NEET Result is valid only for 1 year for Indian colleges. Candidates can check the validity of NEET Result below. 

• For Indian Colleges: NEET scores can be used only for the same academic year in which the exam is taken. This means students must take admission in that year itself.
• For Foreign Colleges: Since the admission process for colleges outside India takes longer, the Medical Council of India (MCI) has extended NEET score validity to three years for students applying abroad.
• Saving the Result: Students must download and keep their NEET 2025 result from neet.ntaonline.in for at least 90 days after the results are announced. This is important because the result will be required during counselling and medical college admissions.
• Admission Process: After NEET 2025 results are declared, students will go through counselling to get admission into medical colleges.

Courses Available Through NEET 2025

Students who qualify for NEET 2025 can apply for admission to the following courses:

1. MBBS & BDS – NEET is the only way to get admission into medical (MBBS) and dental (BDS) colleges in India. This includes government, private, central universities, and deemed universities, as well as AIIMS and JIPMER.
2. AYUSH Courses – NEET is also required for admission to AYUSH courses, which include:
   • BAMS (Ayurveda)
   • BNYS (Yoga & Naturopathy)
   • BUMS (Unani)
   • BSMS (Siddha)
   • BHMS (Homeopathy)
3. Veterinary Courses (B.V.Sc & AH) – NEET scores are used for admission to 15% All India Quota seats in veterinary colleges, except in Jammu & Kashmir.
4. Studying Abroad – If students want to study medical or dental courses in other countries, they must pass NEET. The NEET score will be valid for three years for those applying abroad.

Next Steps After NEET UG 2025 Result

• Students who pass NEET (except those from Jammu & Kashmir) can take part in centralized counselling conducted by MCC for admission to medical colleges across India.
• They need to register for the NEET counselling process to get a seat in medical or dental colleges.
• Students from Jammu & Kashmir who do not join the All India Quota counselling can apply for state counselling in J&K.
• Students can also apply for state counselling in their own states, if they meet the eligibility rules set by the state authorities.
