BTech Bioinformatics Admission Process 2025

The admission process for BTech in Bioinformatics is almost similar in colleges, with only a few things that may differ depending on the intake examinations. For reference, the admission process for the BTech in Bioinformatics course at IIT Hyderabad has been mentioned below:

  • Step 1: The candidates would first need to register for JEE-Main and later sit for the examination. Once the results are announced, if the candidate has a rank in the top 2.5 Lakh rank holders of JEE-Main, then the candidate will be able to register for JEE-Advanced. The candidates will be able to register on www.jeeadv.ac.in.
  • Step 2: The applicants would need to download the admit card and sit for JEE Advanced at the designated centers.
  • Step 3: The results will be updated on the JEE Advanced web portal. The category-wise All-India Ranks (AIR) will be shown, and the test messages will be communicated to the candidates on their registered mobile numbers.
  • Step 4: The candidates who have passed the minimum cutoff will need to register for JoSAA counseling. In the counseling session, the student has to select the college and branch they want to apply to.
  • Step 5: The seats will be allotted to the candidates on a first-come-first-served basis, depending on the availability of the seats. After the seat is allotted, the candidates will need to confirm their admission by paying their admission fees.
  • Step 6: The admitted candidates will need to submit their original documents for document verification at the time of admission.
