BTech Polymer Technology Exam Pattern

The Anna University follows a simple and structured exam pattern for the B.Tech. Polymer Technology course. The curriculum of the course has some theory and practical subjects of 100 marks each. Out of the 100 marks, 20 marks are allotted to Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA), which includes class tests, assignments, and internal evaluations.

On the other hand, 80 marks are reserved for the End Semester University Examination, which is done at the end of each semester. For industrial training and seminars, evaluation is done internally for 100 marks without the conduct of any university-level exam. The project work is included in the last year of the curriculum of the course, which is assessed through the submission of a project report (30 marks), viva voce (50 marks), and internal reviews (20 marks), totaling 100 marks.

To pass any course, a student must secure at least 50% of the total marks (internal plus end semester examinations), with a minimum of 45% in the end semester exam separately. This evaluation system of Anna University ensures a balanced assessment of both continuous learning and end-semester examinations.
