Master of Theology is a two-year post-graduate course in advanced theological studies and research. The course is designed to equip the students with advanced knowledge in religious writings and theology, among others, in order to support them to study at the doctoral level, pursue a career in academics, including serving as leaders of church and para-church bodies.

The MTh course can be pursued after a Bachelor's in Divinity (BD) or Bachelor of Theology with a minimum of 50% marks from a well-recognized institute. In certain universities, there can be entrance tests or the need to qualify for bridge courses for the candidates. Entry into the program usually requires application with academic records, evidence of training in a theological context, and, in some cases, a statement of faith or principle of agreement, to demonstrate the program's interest in evangelical theology.
