The university offers various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral programs in the areas of Arts, Science, Technology, Pharmacy, Management, Computer Science, Home Science, Social Science, etc. NMU offers B.Tech. programs in 6 disciplines at the UG level, M.Tech. programs in 6 disciplines, M.Sc in 19 disciplines, MA in 17 disciplines, MCA, MBA, and M.Ed at the PG level along with M.Phil., and Ph.D. at the Research level in few disciplines of Arts, Science, Education, Technology, Computer Science, and Social Science.
Admission to such courses at NMU is done either based on merit or through an entrance. Admission to UG courses like B.Tech, BCA, BBA, BMS, BBM, and PG courses like M.Tech, MSW, M.Ed is done based on merit secured in MHT-CET. Admission to B.Sc, M.Sc, BA, MA is purely merit-based. The university allows admission to MBA based on merit secured in MAH MBA CET. Admission to MCA will be made through the MAH MCA CET score. Admission to M.Ed is done through a merit score in MAH M.Ed CET. The university allows admission to M.Phil is done based on an entrance examination followed by an interview conducted by the university. The university grants admission to Ph.D. courses through Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) followed by an interview conducted by NMU. NET/ JRF/ SET qualified candidates are exempted from the written test but they have to take the interview.
