NERIST Admission Process 2025

The North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) has initiated the admission process for the academic year 2025-2026. Admissions are primarily conducted through the NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE), which is organized at three distinct levels: NEE-I, NEE-II, and NEE-III.

 

Step 1: Understand the NEE Levels

  • NEE-I: For admission to the Certificate module (after Class X).
  • NEE-II (PCM): For lateral entry to the Diploma module in Engineering & Technology and Degree module in Applied Science (after Class XII with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics).
  • NEE-III: For lateral entry to the Degree module in Engineering (after completing a Diploma in Engineering).

  • Ensure you meet the educational qualifications and age limits specified for the desired NEE level.

Application Process

  • Register and Apply Online: Visit the NEE application portal at https://www.neeonline.ac.in. The application window is open from January 15, 2025, to April 3, 2025.
  • Upload Required Documents: Have a valid email ID, mobile number, recent passport-sized photograph, scanned signature, and access to online payment methods ready.
  • Pay Application Fee: The application fee must be paid online using a credit card, debit card, or net banking. For candidates belonging to the General, OBC, or EWS categories, the fee is ₹1,500. For candidates in the ST, SC, or PD categories, the fee is ₹1,000.

Prepare and Appear for the Examination

  • Attend the NEE on the scheduled date i.e. April 26 & 27, 2025. The exam consists of objective-type questions.
