ANM Nursing course is for those who wish to become nursing professionals, especially in community health. The course prepares the students with skills to offer primary health care at sub-center and village levels. The candidates must have passed 10+2 in any discipline with 40- 45% marks. While a few of the ANM institutions of Maharashtra provide direct admission on merit grounds, others demand that applicants sit for the Maharashtra ANM Nursing Entrance Exam held by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra.

The applicants must register themselves online on the website of the government, share their education details, upload scanned documents, and complete the application within the time schedule. Admission is offered to selected students on merit or marks scored on the entrance exam. ANM colleges of the state are popular in cities like Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, and Nagpur due to low fees and training facilities provided in government healthcare institutions.
