The state nursing councils or state health departments take care of the admission process for ANMs. These bodies publish yearly notifications online for people to access. Before applying for the course, students should make sure they meet the requirements. Most states ask that students finish Class 12 from a recognised board. Any student can apply for the exam, though some states want those with a background in science.

Applicants to the ANM course are generally chosen through their 12th-grade scores. Some states have entrance tests, but most use counselling to choose their students. Students should submit an online form along with their required documents. The authorities will release a merit list that is based on the Class 12 scores of each applicant.

Those who make the shortlist are invited for counselling to verify their documents. To confirm their qualifications, students must bring their real certificates. The seat allotment is based on merit and each student’s preference. Students must pay the required admission fee to guarantee admission to the college.

ANM stands for Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery and is a two-year course in the nursing sector. This program teaches students how to give essential healthcare and nursing support in different communities.
