Haryana BTech Admission Process 2026: Eligibility, Exams & Admission

Haryana BTech Admissions will be based on JEE Main, followed by counselling conducted by HSTES, for most of the government engineering colleges in Haryana. Those who have passed 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks are eligible to apply for admission to BTech in Haryana.

For BTech Lateral Entry admission, Haryana LEET is considered, and the counselling is conducted by HSTES. Those who have completed a diploma in engineering/ technology with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks are eligible for BTech Lateral admission in Haryana. Some of the private institutes conduct their entrance examination. For example, Manav Rachna conducts MRNAT for engineering admissions.

BTech Admission Process 2025 in Haryana

Most government BTech colleges in Haryana consider the JEE-Main score for admission, followed by the centralised counselling process conducted online through the HSTES. To understand the BTech admissions in Haryana, let’s consider the admission of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA.

Step 1: Online Registration: Interested candidates should visit the official website of HSTES (Haryana State Technical Education Society), and the link to fill out the online application form will be available on the website.

• The candidates will have to provide all the information being asked, including personal and academic details.
• The Haryana state candidates will have to provide their PPP ID, and the other state candidates can provide their Aadhaar.
• The candidates will have to upload the required documents, which may include 10th & 12th marksheets, JEE-Main scorecards, photographs, and signatures.
• The Haryana state candidates will have to upload documents like category certificate, annual family income, and date of birth during registration.
• Then, students can submit the application form with the application fee of INR 1000 for the general category and INR 700 for the reserved category.

Step 2: Locking of Filled Choices

• The candidates who fill out the application should lock in their choices of the institute and the B.Tech branch.
• The candidates who did not lock their choices, their last filled choices will be considered.
• The locking of filled choices should be done either from their own home or by going to the participating institution.

Step 3: First Online Counselling

• The candidates will have to appear for the Haryana BTech counselling online and will be given a seat based on their preference and availability.

Step 4: Result Declaration

• The candidates can check the results on the official website of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology.
• The rank list of the selected candidates will be displayed, and the notice for the reporting data and time for admission will be provided.

Step 5: Reporting & Admission

• After the results are declared for the first Haryana BTech counselling, the candidates will have to report to the allotted institute to deposit the semester fee and to submit the required documents/ certificates/ testimonials in original and a photograph.
• The allotted institute will verify the credentials and will issue a provisional admission slip to the candidates as proof of his/ her admission.
• The candidate will have to get the provisional admission slip signed by the admission coordinator of the institute and the candidate.

Step 6: Second and Subsequent Online Counselling

• To participate in the 2nd or subsequent Haryana BTech counselling (if any), candidates will have to again fill (refill) the choices in the order of priority on the counselling website. The other process will remain the same.
