Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry Admission Process 2025

Admission to the PhD Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Jamia Hamdard University, is competitive and based on a university-level entrance exam followed by a personal interview. The full-time research program (minimum 3 years) is designed for students interested in drug design, medicinal chemistry, and pharmaceutical analysis.

 

Step 1: Before starting the application, visit the official Jamia Hamdard Ph.D. admissions page (April to June).

 

Step 2: Fill out the online application and pay the non-refundable application fee of INR 1,500 at www.jamiahamdard.edu. Upload the required documents and select Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry as your preferred program.

 

Step 3: After submitting your application, you will need to show up to take the Ph.D. Entrance Test (which occurs in June or July), where you will answer some subject-specific questions and questions on general aptitude for research. Candidates holding valid NET-JRF/GATE/GPAT can apply for exemption from having to take the Entrance Test.

 

Step 4: If your exam was successful, you will be invited for a personal interview. You will be assessed on your aptitude for research, as well as your knowledge of the domain. Final Merit is the weighted score of your Entrance Test (70%) + the Interview (30%) of the interviewees.
