JEE Main CSAB SFTI 2026 Counselling: Registration, Dates, Seat Allotment

JEE Main CSAB SFTI 2026 Counselling Process is held by the Central Seat Allocation Board for providing admissions to eligible participants. Candidates who qualify the JEE Main entrance exam are shortlisted based on their JEE Main Rank to participate in the CSAB SFTI counselling process. The JEE Main CSAB SFTI Counselling 2026 will be conducted for admission into the Self Financing Technical Institutes (SFTIs). Additionally, allocation of seats is completely based on the order of preferences filled by the candidates, based on their JEE Main AIR 2026 in Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech), Paper 2A (B.Arch), and Paper 2B (B.Plan). CSAB SFTI 2026 Important Dates

JEE Main CSAB SFTI Counselling 2026 will be held as per the official schedule, which will be released by CSAB. Candidates can check the following table for the tentative schedule of CSAB Counselling 2026 for all SFTIs.

CSAB SFTI Counselling 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The board short lists candidates who meet the required eligibility criteria to participate in the JEE Main CSAB SFTI 2026 counselling process. Candidates must meet the CSAB SFTI 2026 counselling eligibility criteria in order to participate in the counselling process and get admission into their preferred Self Financing Technical Institutes. CSAB SFTI 2026 Counselling Process

CSAB will be conducting the JEE Main SFTI counselling process in order to provide admission to eligible candidates into their preferred Self Financing Technical Institutes. The admission will be provided completely based on candidates’ JEE Main 2026 scores. The counselling process is held in the following steps-

JEE Main CSAB SFTI 2026 Counselling Registration and Fee Payment

First, candidates will be required to register for the JEE Main CSAB SFTI counselling on the official CSAB website using their JEE Main 2025 Roll Number.

• During registration, check and confirm the details like gender, category, and state of eligibility.
• Then, pay the registration fee of INR 21,000 through a SBI e-challan.
• Remember to keep the receipt for future use.

CSAB SFTI 2025 Choice Filling and Seat Allotment Process

After counselling registration, candidates will need to complete the choice filling process. This includes-

• Fill in the preferred SFTIs and courses.
• As per choices filled, candidates will be allocated seats based on their JEE Main ranks, order of preferences and category-based reservations.
• The seat allotment process is conducted in multiple rounds. It also allows candidates to select any one option, namely, Float/ Freeze/ Slide.

CSAB SFTI 2026 Physical Reporting and Document Verification

Soon after the completion of the CSAB SFTI Seat Allotment, candidates will need to go through the reporting and document verification process. This process includes-

1. Shortlisted candidates who have been allocated seats will be required to report to the institute as per the date given.
2. During physical reporting, students need to carry original and self-attested copies of documents for verification at the institute.
3. Failing to report at the institute within the deadline will result in cancellation of the seat.

• Provisional Seat Allotment Letter
• Receipt of Fee Payment via e-challan from a SBI Branch
• JEE Main 2026 Admit Card
• JEE Main 2026 Scorecard
• Printout of Self-Attested Documents
• 3 passport-size photographs (same as given during registration)
• Class 10 Marksheet
• Class 12 Certificate and Marksheet
• Category Certificate (if applicable)
• Disability Certificate (if applicable)
• Printout of self-attested locked choices

CSAB SFTI Counselling 2026 Final Admission

After reporting and document verification, candidates will receive a provisional admission letter. Moreover, the remaining fees must be paid to confirm admission. Even after the completion of the main counselling rounds, if seats remain vacant, then a Spot Round will be conducted to fill the vacant seats. Only candidates who were not allotted a seat before will be able to participate in the CSAB SFTI Spot Round Counselling. After all the seats are filled and processes completed, selected candidates need to report to their respective allotted institutes to complete the rest of the formalities.

Tips for Choice Filling in CSAB SFTI Counselling 2026

During the CSAB SFTI 2026 counselling registration, candidates should select their order of preferences carefully. As the seats will be allotted to the candidates based on their JEE Main 2026 Rank and Order of Preference. Here are are some key tips while choice filling-

• First, check the seat availability, and previous year cutoffs before filling choices. This will help in avoiding options with very limited seats.
• Next, choose a mix of top colleges, mid-range colleges, and backup options.
• A few institutes also give preference to students from specific regions. Check regional eligibility before finalising choices.
• Always focus on course quality and career scope along with rankings.
• Lastly, add dream colleges at the top and safe backup options below it. This will eventually increase the chances of getting a seat in your preferred college.
