JEE Main 2027 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The examination will be conducted in multiple sessions, with Paper 1 for B.E./B.Tech, Paper 2A for B.Arch, and Paper 2B for B.Planning. JEE Main Session 1 2027 will be conducted from January 22, 23, 24, 2027 and January 28,29,30, 2027 as announced by the National Test Agency(NTA). JEE Main Session 2 2027 have not been announced yet by the National Test Agency(NTA).
For Paper 1, the JEE Main question paper will consist of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each subject will have 25 questions, including multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and numerical value-based questions, making a total of 75 questions for 300 marks.
Paper 2A for B.Arch will comprise Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Drawing Test, while Paper 2B for B.Planning will include Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Planning-based questions.
Note: JEE Main exam pattern includes negative marking for incorrect responses in Section A and the numerical-value section as prescribed by NTA. JEE Main Exam Pattern 2027
Joint Entrance Examination Mains 2027 will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, except for the drawing section in Paper 2A, which will be conducted offline. JEE Main 2027 Question Types
The question types vary across sections:
- Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs): There are four options for each question, and only one is correct. This type of question is used in Paper 1 and parts of Paper 2.
- Numerical Value Questions (NVQs): Candidates are asked to provide a numerical answer in the place of option selection. Paper 1 consists of five NVQs for each subject.
