JEE Main Session 2 Dates 2026 has been revised to take place from April 02 to 08, 2026. JEE Main 2026 Session 1 took place from January 21 to January 29, 2026. The registration process for Session 1 began on October 31, 2025, and continued until November 27, 2025. Also, the correction window facility opened on December 1, 2025, and remained active till December 2, 2025. NTA reopened the session 2 registration from March 12 to 13, 2026. Candidates can download their session 2 admit cards from March 29, 2026, for exams scheduled on April 2 and 4, 2026.

JEE Main Exam Dates 2026
The Notification of JEE Main 2026 was released on October 31, 2025, for which registrations also started from October 31, 2025, onwards. Check below to know about the tentative schedule of JEE Main Exam Dates 2026 for both Session 1 and Session 2.

JEE Main 2026 Exam Time
JEE Main Exam 2026 consists of two shifts. One shift is held between 9 AM and 12 PM, and the second shift is between 3 PM and 6 PM. Candidates are allowed to take the entry 30 minutes before the exam starts, as in these 30 minutes, the invigilators will provide exam instructions.
JEE Main Registration 2026 Dates
JEE Main Registration for Session 1 started on October 31, 2025. The window was open till November 27, 2025. For Session 2, registration commenced from February 1 to 25, 2026. The session 2 registration window was reopened on March 12. The last date to apply was March 13, 2026. Candidates can fill the application forms at jeemain.nta.nic.in by entering personal information, academic qualification details, email ID, contact number and category details. The JEE Main Registration 2026 is confirmed after paying an exam fee of INR 1000 (for Unreserved Category), INR 800 (for OBC candidates) and INR 500 (for SC).
JEE Main Application Form Correction Dates
The NTA permits candidates to make corrections to their application forms even after they have been submitted. The application form correction window opens after the registration ends, and it remains open for two or three days. For Session 1 of the JEE Exam 2026, the form correction window was opened on December 1, 2025, and closed on December 2, 2025 (up to 11:50 PM). For Session 2, the form correction window was opened from February 27 to 28, 2026.
JEE Main City Intimation Slip 2026
NTA has released the city intimation slip for Session 2 on March 21, 2026 before the publication of JEE Main Admit Card 2026. Through this slip, candidates are informed about their allotted JEE Main Exam Centre and its location. It is available at jeemain.nta.nic.in for Session 2.
JEE Main Admit Card 2026 Dates
JEE Main Admit Card 2026 for Session 1 was published on January 17, 2026. For Session 2, the admit card for April 2 and 4, 2026 exam was released on March 29, 2026. They must download it from the official website of NTA and carry it to the exam centre. Along with the hall ticket, applicants should bring a valid photo ID proof such as an Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Voter ID.
JEE Main Answer Key 2026 Dates
Once the JEE Main Exam is over, NTA releases provisional answer keys at jeemain.nta.nic.in. With its release, candidates can match their response paper with JEE Main Answer Key 2026 to estimate their total scores. In case of any discrepancies, candidates are allowed to challenge any questions with supporting materials. In addition, they must pay a fee of INR 200 for each question they challenge. For Session 1, the JEE Main Answer Key was released on February 4, 2026 and the objection window was opened till February 6, 2026.
JEE Main Results 2026 Dates
For Session 1, JEE Main Result 2026 was announced on February 16, 2026, and the Session 2 Results will be out on April 20, 2026. Candidates need to download the JEE Main Results from NTA’s official website using their application number and password. Once the result is out, NTA releases the JEE Main Cutoff within just a few days.
JEE Main Counselling 2026 Dates
Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct the JEE Main Counselling in July/ August 2026. Before participating in the JoSAA Counselling process, candidates must register online first, along with their preferred choices for institutes and streams. Students whose JEE Main Marks fulfil the criteria of the JoSAA Eligibility Criteria are shortlisted and allotted seats.
