NTA has released the tentative Dates for the JEE Main 2027 Session 1 exam dates. As per the announced schedule, the Session 1 examination will be conducted in January 2027. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on January 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, and 30, 2027. NTA has kept January 31, 2027, as a buffer date for the Session 1 examination. The registration dates, application deadline, city intimation slip and admit card release dates will be announced separately by NTA.
- NTA will start the JEE Main 2027 Session 1 application process in October 2026. Candidates will be able to register online, fill in their personal and academic details, select the examination paper and city, upload the required documents, and pay the application fee. The exact registration dates, application fee, and correction window are yet to be announced by NTA.
- JEE Main 2027 Session 1 Admit Card is expected to be released 3–4 days before the respective exam date, following the schedule adopted by NTA in previous years. Candidates appearing in the initial shifts can therefore expect their admit cards in mid-January 2027. The exact release date will be announced by NTA.
*What does Buffer Date mean here?
Buffer date means an additional/reserve date kept by NTA to accommodate the examination if required.
For JEE Main 2027 Session 1, January 31, 2027 is listed as a buffer date after the scheduled exam dates (January 22, 23, 24, 28, 29 and 30). It does not mean that JEE Main will definitely be conducted on January 31. NTA may use this date if there is a need to reschedule or accommodate an examination-related requirement.

JEE Main 2027 Exam Time
JEE Main Exam 2027 consists of two shifts. One shift is held between 9 AM and 12 PM, and the second shift is between 3 PM and 6 PM. Candidates are allowed to take the entry 30 minutes before the exam starts, as in these 30 minutes, the invigilators will provide exam instructions.
JEE Main Registration 2027 Dates
JEE Main Registration for Session will started in October 2026. The window will stay open till November 2026. For Session 2, registration will commence in February 2027. The Session 2 registration window will reopen in March 2027. The last date to apply will be in March 2027. Candidates can fill the application forms at jeemain.nta.nic.in by entering personal information, academic qualification details, email ID, contact number, and category details. The JEE Main Registration 2027 is confirmed after paying an exam fee of INR 1000 (for Unreserved Category), INR 800 (for OBC candidates), and INR 500 (for SC).

JEE Main Application Form Correction Dates
The NTA permits candidates to make corrections to their application forms even after they have been submitted. The application form correction window opens after the registration ends, and it remains open for two or three days. For Session 1 of the JEE Exam 2027, the form correction window will open in December 2026. For Session 2, the form correction window will open in February 2027.

JEE Main City Intimation Slip 2027
NTA will release the city intimation slip for Session 2 in March 2027 before the publication of JEE Main Admit Card 2027. Through this slip, candidates will be informed about their allotted JEE Main Exam Centre and its location. It is available at jeemain.nta.nic.in for Session 2.

JEE Main Admit Card 2027 Dates
JEE Main Admit Card 2027 for Session 1 will be published on January 2027. For Session 2, the admit card for the April 2027 exam will be released in March 2027. They must download it from the official website of NTA and carry it to the exam centre. Along with the hall ticket, applicants should bring a valid photo ID proof such as an Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Voter ID.

JEE Main Answer Key 2027 Dates
Once the JEE Main Exam is over, NTA releases provisional answer keys at jeemain.nta.nic.in. With its release, candidates can match their response paper with JEE Main Answer Key 2027 to estimate their total scores. In case of any discrepancies, candidates are allowed to challenge any questions with supporting materials. In addition, they must pay a fee of INR 200 for each question they challenge. For Session 1, the JEE Main Answer Key will be released on February 2027.

JEE Main Results 2027 Dates
For Session 1, JEE Main Result 2027 will be announced on February 2027, and the Session 2 Results will be out on April 2027. Candidates need to download the JEE Main Results from NTA’s official website using their application number and password. Once the result is out, NTA releases the JEE Main Cutoff within just a few days.

JEE Main Counselling 2027 Dates
Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct the JEE Main Counselling in July/ August 2027. Before participating in the JoSAA Counselling process, candidates must register online first, along with their preferred choices for institutes and streams. Students whose JEE Main Marks fulfil the criteria of the JoSAA Eligibility Criteria are shortlisted and allotted seats.

What is the date of JEE Main 2027?
The exam schedule for JEE Main 2027 is January 22 to 30, 2027, for Session 1, and in April 2027 for Session 2.
When will JEE Main 2027 registration start?
The registration for JEE Main 2027 Session 2 will start on February 2027. The application window will close on February, 2027. NTA will reopen the session 2 application window from March 2027.
Can I apply for JEE session two in April without session one?
