JEE Main Notification 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is anticipated to release the JEE Main 2026 notification for the first session around October or November 2025. JEE Main Notification 2026: Tentative Schedule

NTA has not released the full schedule for JEE Main 2026. Based on the previous year’s schedule, it is expected that registrations will open in November 2025 for session 1 and in February 2026 for session 2. JEE Main Application Process 2026

Applications for the JEE Main exam are done through the NTA dedicated website. Candidates need to fill out the application form with the choice of exam centres and upload the necessary documents online with the form. A registration fee also needs to be paid before submitting the application. The step-by-step process to register for JEE Main is as follows:

 

Step 1: Visit the main NTA JEE Main website: jeemain.nta.nic.in

 

Step 2: Click on the “Registration for JEE Main Session 1” link on the main page.

 

Step 3: On the next page, click on the “New Registration” link to create a new profile.

 

Step 4: Enter an active email ID and phone number to register and log in.

 

Step 5: Fill out the application form.

 

Step 6: Upload the scanned photograph and signature in the given format.

JEE Main Notification 2026: Exam Details

JEE Main notification provides details about the examination, including the number of papers, their patterns, and the timing of the exam. JEE Main 2026 Application Fees

JEE Main charges different registration fees for its papers and different genders. For Indian exam centres, the application fee is between INR 1,000 (paper 1) and INR 2,000 (paper combinations) for male candidates, INR 800 (paper 1) to INR 1,600 (paper combinations) for female candidates and INR 500 (paper 1) to INR 1,000 (paper combinations) for third gender candidates. JEE Main Notification 2026: Exam Centres

The JEE Main Notification 2026 will include the list of exam centres where the exam will take place. Candidates can choose up to four exam centres to take their examination from. JEE Main is conducted in all major cities and countries across the world. In India, there were 300 exam centres in 2024. This has been streamlined to 284 exam centres in 2026.
