JEE Main Notification 2027: Dates, Registration, Exam & Updates

JEE Main Notification 2027 will be released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for candidates who want to take admission to undergraduate engineering, architecture and planning programmes through the Joint Entrance Examination also known as JEE Main.

Based on the previous JEE Main cycle, Session 1 is expected to be conducted in January 2027 and Session 2 will be conducted in April 2027. JEE Main 2027 exam is expected to follow the same two session structure.

Note: The official JEE exam form date, examination dates and JEE Mains last date to apply will be confirmed only through the JEE Main 2027 notification.

JEE Main Notification 2027 Latest Updates

Candidates who want to appear for JEE Main 2027 exam can expect the jee main notification to include details about the application process, examination schedule, eligibility and syllabus. This notification will also include exam pattern, fee structure, admit card, answer key and result.

JEE Main 2027 Exam Dates

NTA has not released the official JEE Main 2027 exam schedule. However, the examination will take place in two sessions. Students should note that Session 1 will be conducted in January 2027 and Session 2 for the JEE Mains 2027 will take place in April 2027. JEE Main 2027 Registration 

JEE Mains registration process will be conducted online through jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates are required to ensure that their Aadhaar, category and disability related information is updated before filling the application form. Students are required to follow the steps stated below in the given sequence as stated:

JEE Main 2027 Exam Pattern 

JEE Main 2027 exam pattern will remain broadly aligned with the latest pattern unless NTA announces a revision.

For Paper 1, B.E./B.Tech., the latest pattern included Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Each subject had 25 questions, comprising 20 questions in Section A and 5 numerical-value questions in Section B, giving a total of 75 questions and 300 marks. The examination duration was three hours.

JEE Main 2027 Examination Papers

Candidates can apply for the following papers:

• Paper 1: B.E./B.Tech.
• Paper 2A: B.Arch.
• Paper 2B: B.Planning.

Candidates may appear for more than one paper or eligible paper combination subject to NTA's application rules and fee structure.

JEE Main 2027 Exam Centres

The examination city procedure introduced in the recent JEE Main cycle should be considered when preparing for JEE Main 2027.

NTA allows candidates to enter four examination city choices for the upcoming JEE Main 2027 exam . Students are required to choose the JEE Main Exam Centre 2027 at the time of JEE Main registration.

JEE Main 2027 Application Fee 

The final JEE Main 2027 application fee will be announced with the official notification. Following table clearly state the fees for each category of the JEE registration form 2027.Candidates are advised to check the table for their respective category for JEE Mains registration 2027:

JEE Main 2027 Correction Window

The JEE Main 2027 correction window is expected to open after the application period. NTA generally specifies the editable and non-editable fields through a separate correction notice.

The latest JEE Main cycle included official correction notices for Session 1 and Session 2.

Candidates should carefully check their:

• Date of birth
• Category and sub-category
• Academic information
• Examination paper
• Examination medium
• Examination city preferences
• Identity-related information

JEE Main 2027 Admit Card

NTA is expected to release the JEE Main 2027 admit card separately for each session. Before the admit card, candidates are generally provided examination city information through an advance city intimation notice.

Candidates should download the admit card from the official website and check their examination date, shift, centre address and reporting instructions.

JEE Main 2027 Answer Key and Response Sheet

After the examination, NTA is expected to publish the provisional answer key and recorded response sheet. Candidates will receive an opportunity to challenge the provisional answers within the period specified by NTA.

The 2026 JEE Main website records separate notices for the provisional answer key, recorded response sheet and final answer key for Session 1 and Session 2.

The final answer key is used for preparing the final JEE result and NTA scores.

JEE Main 2027 Result

The JEE Main result will be released online through the official NTA result portal. Candidates will be able to check their scores using their application number and other required login credentials.

The official JEE Main website currently lists the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 result/NTA score notices for Paper 1 and Paper 2, confirming that result announcements are made separately for the relevant papers.

JEE Main Session 2 2027

The jee mains session 2 is expected to be conducted in April 2027, following the established two-session examination cycle.

Candidates who want to appear in Session 2 will have to complete the Session 2 application process within the specified deadline. Candidates who did not register for Session 1 may also be allowed to apply for Session 2, subject to the rules mentioned in the 2027 notification.

JEE Main Session 2 Result 2027

The JEE Main Session 2 result is expected to be released after completion of the April 2027 examination and answer-key process.

Candidates should download their scorecard from the official NTA portal and retain it for future admission and counselling requirements.
