JEE Main Exam Analysis 2026 Session 2 has started from April 2, 2026. JEE Main 2026 Exam Dates are April 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. The exam is being conducted in two different shifts: Shift 1 from 9 AM to 12 PM, and Shift 2 from 3 PM to 6 PM. The April 7 exam has been successfully concluded, and the overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate. With the conclusion of the April 2, 4, and 5 Shift 1 & 2 papers, the exam analysis is out. As per students’ feedback, the overall difficulty of the exam is moderate, with Mathematics as the toughest paper so far.
Looking at the expected subject-wise difficulty level, Mathematics is likely to be difficult, as seen in JEE Main 2023, 2024, and 2025, with lengthy and time-consuming questions from Calculus, Algebra, and Geometry. Physics is expected to be moderate, with a balance of numerical and theory-based questions, mainly focused on formulas and core concepts. Chemistry is expected to be easy to moderate and scoring, especially for students who have prepared well from NCERT books, with balanced questions from Inorganic, Organic, and Physical Chemistry.

JEE Main 2026 April 6 Shift 2 exam difficulty level was moderate, with Physics and Mathematics being the toughest sections. The overall difficulty level of the paper conducted on April 2, 4, and 5, Shifts 1 & 2, was moderate according to the students’ reaction. Mathematics: Moderate but the paper contained heavy calculations. The topics included Coordinate Geometry, Calculus, Differential Equations, Sequence and Series, Binomials, Probability, Vectors & 3D, Area Under the Curve |

JEE Main Exam Analysis 2024 April Session: Shift-wise Analysis
The JEE Main 2024 April Session consisted of multiple shifts with varying difficulty levels.
