Candidates must meet JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria 2026. The criteria to appear in the JEE exam are given below.
- Candidates must secure a rank within the top 2,50,000 students in JEE Mains 2026 exam.
- Candidates must have been born on or after 1 October 2001 to apply for JEE Advanced 2026. However, candidates from PwD, ST, and SC are given a five-year relaxation. Hence, these candidates must have been born on or after 1 October 1996.
- Interested candidates can only appear for JEE Advanced exam for two consecutive years, a total of two times.
- Interested candidates must appear for the class 12th or equivalent exam for the first time in 2024 or 2026. Moreover, they must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in class 12th. Candidates who have appeared for the class 12th board exam in 2023 or prior are not allowed to take JEE Advanced 2026 exam.
- If there are any candidates whose IIT admission was cancelled for any reason, they are not allowed to appear in JEE Advanced 2026 exam. However, candidates who are preparing for any course in any IIT in 2024 for the first time are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2026 exam.
