  1. Candidate with a higher NTA score in Mathematics is given preference.
  2. If the tie continues, the candidate with a higher NTA score in Physics is preferred.
  3. If the tie still remains, the candidate with a higher NTA score in Chemistry is preferred.
  4. The candidate with a lower proportion of attempted incorrect answers to correct answers across all subjects is preferred.
  5. If required, the same comparison is applied for Mathematics.
  6. The next comparison is made for Physics.
  7. The final subject-wise comparison is made for Chemistry.
  8. If the tie remains even after applying all these criteria, the candidates are assigned the same rank.

JEE Main Cutoff 2027 (Expected)

The JEE Main cutoff 2027 will be released by NTA after the declaration of the JEE Main result. The cutoff is released in the form of a percentile and varies according to the candidate's category. Since the official JEE Main 2027 cutoff has not yet been announced, candidates can refer to JEE Mains 2026 trends to understand the expected range. JEE Mains 2027 FAQs

When will the JEE Mains form 2027 be released, and how can candidates apply?

The official jee mains form for the 2027 Session 1 is expected to be released by NTA in November 2026. Aspirants can fill out the jee form online by visiting the official NTA portal at https jeemain nta nic in.

What is the eligibility criteria for candidates appearing for JEE Main 2027?

Candidates who have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) in 2025, 2026, or are appearing in 2027 are eligible. While there is no upper age limit for JEE Main, qualifying candidates targeting NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs must meet the 75% aggregate criteria in Class 12 or rank within the top 20 percentile of their respective boards.

Where can candidates access the revised JEE syllabus for both Main and Advanced exams?

Candidates can download the complete jee syllabus from NTA’s official portal. Those preparing for iit jee should also review the jee advanced syllabus early on, as it includes deeper application-based topics beyond the Mains domain.

How important is practicing with a JEE sample paper and mock test?

Attempting a full-length jee sample paper and taking a regular jee mains mock test is crucial for mastering speed, accuracy, and exam temperament. Practicing a timed jee mock test helps candidates simulate the actual computer-based test environment.

Is solving a JEE previous year question paper enough to score high?

Solving a jee previous year question paper alongside a detailed jee mains previous year question paper set helps identify high-weightage topics and recurring question types. Analyzing each jee main question paper from past sessions ensures a thorough understanding of the exam pattern.

Is JEE 2027 expected to be difficult, and should droppers re attempt?

The overall difficulty generally ranges from moderate to challenging across shifts. A score of 120+ or a rank under 20,000 provides good admission opportunities in top institutes. If you fall short of your target score, taking a dedicated drop year to solve every official jee question paper and refine concept application can significantly boost your percentile.

Is JEE 2027 expected to be the toughest year yet, and how should one prepare?

While it is impossible to predict if 2027 will be the absolute toughest year, the NTA consistently maintains a standard that tests deep conceptual clarity. The difficulty often fluctuates across different exam shifts. The best way to prepare for any difficulty level is by attempting a comprehensive jee mock test regularly and diving deep into a jee mains previous year question paper to understand evolving exam trends. When the time comes, ensure you successfully complete your registration by filling out the jee mains form (or jee form) well before the deadline.
